We are thrilled to announce the Woodsounds Story Contest. The purpose of this contest is to give our clients/friends an opportunity to share their stories and ideas and perhaps be rewarded in flutes for this contribution.
The Woodsounds Flute of the Month Club is made up of flutes that were designed with a story in mind, complete with symbolism and imagery infused in the construct of the flute to help bring the story to life as the player of the flute tells her stories.
We are accepting submission for the Story Contest now. By the 10th of January, we will choose at least two stories for 2020. The overarching theme for 2020 is Abundance, in celebration of the declared decade of Abundance.
When a submission is selected, the submitter will receive a credit of 300 dollars to their Woodsounds account. This can be spent in the Woodsounds Store just like cash.
All submissions must be free and clear of any trademark or copywrite. Traditional and original stories preferred. All stories will be kept for 1 year for consideration. The award for a story that receives duplicate submissions will be awarded to the first submitter. All stories will be posted to the Story Contest pages of the Woodsounds Website and the first submitter will be credited with the story. Some stories are so ubiquitous like the story of White Buffalo Calf Woman, that they will not be considered for award. However, if a unique telling of this story were to be submitted it would be considered for the unique nature and compelling story.
We are looking for stories that are different and compelling. Stories that allow for imagery to be created within the flute and totem.
