    The Story of Joyful:

Joyful is my attempt to creatively demonstrate my gratitude to live and to have opportunities to experience things as delightful as the Hummingbird.

There is something truly special about Hummingbirds (aka Hummers). They are amazing, wonderful, energetic, and so much more. Each time I interact with these incredibly colorful little birds I feel Joyful!

For as long as I can recall, my Mother set out sugar water feeders to call in Humming Birds. I loved filling up the feeders. We would watch the birds at the feeders as they chased each other and sometimes even seemed to get along.  The aerial acrobatics are enchanting beyond words. Truly they seem to be creatures who live part in a magical realm and part in this physical realm.

Today its is up to me to fill the feeders. Up to me to share with world the wonders of this place we live and help them to recognize and value true beauty.

Have you ever held a hummingbird in your hands and nursed it back to health? Have you held very still at a feeder with your hand positioned so that the birds can use your hand as a rest while they feed?  Have you seen the tiny feathers with their perfect shape and jewel like color?

Joyful is my attempt to creatively demonstrate my gratitude to live and to have opportunities to experience things as delightful as the Hummingbird.
