  • The flute body is created from beautiful Utah Juniper. The Juniper Tree represents both strength and wisdom.

The mouthpiece, end cap, and totem top are all made from Tasmanian Blackwood. Tasmanian Blackwood was chosen for its rich color and contrast.

The functional base of the flute totem is made from Ebony. Pagans believed that Ebony could amplify magnetic energy and provide power, purity, balance, protection and luck to its beholder. It is often revered as the most powerful and protective of all wood types.

The surface of the flute totem has been decorated with our gorgeous Solstice emblem (a dancing Kokopelli under the shining sun). Kokopelli is a kachina, or spirit, found in the mythology of the Hopi, Zuni, and other Pueblo Indians. It is believed he brought good luck and prosperity to anyone who listened to his songs. The Sun shining down on Kokopelli’s back, represents life-giving warmth, radiating healing, divinity, positive energy, clarity, confidence and peace.

The Solstice emblem has been carefully cast in gleaming silver and golden copper. Silver is believed to be a mirror into the soul, helping us to see ourselves as others see us. It can represent hope, unconditional love, meditation, mystic visions, tenderness, kindness, sensitivities, and psychic abilities. Copper can conduct energy, clear out negativity, and help balance the chakras.

Within the thick, red coral band encircling the upper section of the flute is bound on either side by copper inlay. In the coral band you will find a beautiful Helix (or spiral) symbol inlaid with crushed sleeping beauty turquoise, as well as two thin bands of copper and a Broken Arrow with a shaft of shining silver and fletching and arrow head of copper. Towards the base of the flute, two thinner bands of red coral are separated by a thick band of turquoise.

The Helix is a universal symbol of resilience. Red Coral is the lifeblood gem, maximizing vitality, wellness and mental focus. Turquoise has a calming, grounding energy, aiding in meditation. It is said to connect heaven and earth, and help us communicate with the spirit world.

The zig-zagging Broken Arrow represents heartline of a being. The heartline begins at the mouth where breath gives life and points to the soul, or spirit, where faith and inner strength preside. Additional, this symbol represents Peace. Personal and peace with others.

Thank you for the opportunity to create for you.
